Collaborative Unit

Mrs. Dirks, my teaching partner and I have developed a unit on the Holocaust, for second semester.  Students will be researching World War II, reading the play on Anne Frank and presenting a project at the end of the unit.  Most of the work will be done in class.

Mini-Units and Long-Term Project

Students will be completing several mini-units during the school year.  We complete a mini-unit on Miranda Rights and political cartoons.  Expect your student to complete their own political cartoon when we are finished with the unit.  Students will also study Iowa government and local government.  Finally, if the year doesn't get away from us, we'll complete a mini-unit on juvenile justice.

We also complete different projects both in class and outside of class.  Please look at the specific link for projects to get that information.
